Taking a break from paddling to sight fish for pike. I have always dreamt of a situation like this. Hundreds of pike lounging around in only a few feet of clear, shallow water. The challenge wasn’t in catching one, but in avoiding the smaller fish to hopefully land one of the big ones. This was the biggest fish in the bay. She followed my lure ( @stinkybflies ) countless times before I managed to trick her into biting. Fishing doesn’t get much more fun than this.
